Vat Module

Integrating Web Srl developed the VAT module to allow you to easily manage VAT for orders, invoices and reports in Opentaps.

The module includes GWT support, ledger integration, detailed reports and the possibility to override VAT when you create an invoice. The module is compatible with Opentaps 1.4 and 1.5. We provide an installer to facilitate the installation process: just install and configure the module to have full VAT integration in your Opentaps.

The module calculates the VAT amount checking the customer/supplier postal address. If the customer/suppplier is located in the same GEO location of your store, VAT amount will be calculated otherwise no VAT adjustment will be added to the order. Vat details will be printed on the order documents.

When you create an invoice, in the GWT grid view, you can override the VAT percentage instead of using the one associated to the product. You will also be able to add an invoice line without specifying the product ID and overriding the VAT rate. This will give you the opportunity to add to the invoice products or services that are not in the catalog and associate a vat rate to them.
